		<description>I don&#039;t see a reason why Islam and democracy cannot co-exist.  If the state is secular, it should not oppose religious beliefs of the people.  It is a fundamental right of the people to follow their faiths and beliefs.

Secularism is used in wrong sense in some countries like France and Turkey.  Be it the ban on headscarves or Sikh turbans.  Freedom of following your religion is taken away from you in the name of &quot;so called&quot; secularism.</description>
